Matt McMahon and Jessica Trinca, from Fox Digital Entertainment’s Mobile team, will be discussing the successful partnership between 20th Century Fox and Rovio on “Angry Birds Rio”, a stand-alone game intended to grow the Angry Birds franchise and to promote the new Fox feature film, RIO, opening April 15 in theatres everywhere. In the game, the original Angry Birds travel to Rio to save their captured avian friends, Blu & Jewel, the stars of RIO. The game launched worldwide on March 22 and hit #1 across Apple’s iOS devices in 55 markets within the first 36 hours of launch as well as being the featured app for the launch of Amazon.com’s new Android Appstore.
